Where the name comes from
Most software asks too much of your attention: you’re always clicking, updating and moving things around by hand. We named the company Orbience after the idea of ambient technology. Our apps and plugins take over the repetitive work and put it into a natural orbit, so your digital tools finally work for you, instead of you working for them.

How we build
Every Orbience product is made the same way. These things are true of each of them.
- On your own PC. Our products run on Windows, on the computer in front of you, and work with what is already there: your desktop, your files, your apps and your projects.
- With the AI you already have. They think with the AI subscription you already pay for, such as Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini, instead of adding another AI bill.
- Real work, not just chat. They do the job on your computer instead of telling you how to do it.
- You stay in charge. Orb asks before it sends, deletes or shuts anything down, and Motion Copilot can plan first and wait for your approval.
